Updated November 8, 2021 COVID-19 Policy: All attendees, vendors and staff must bring proof of vaccination or documentation of a negative test taken within 72 hours of the event along with identification. Kids 12 and under can bring documentation of negative test or wear mask during the event. We encourage you to schedule your appointment at a drugstore like CVS or Walgreens — many tests are free and easily scheduled online. You can opt for a Rapid Test that gives results on the same day as the test. If you are unable to get a test scheduled, we have contracted with a nurse to conduct testing on-site. You can get a 15-minute test on-site for $30 or you can bring your own home test and have the nurse conduct the test onsite for $15.

Close Call Studio aka Amanda Adams (cuz it's a one woman show here) is a fiber art and illustration brand started in 2012 that creates work designed to bring playfulness, joy, and humor to your space with a focus on ethical practices.
All materials are consciously curated and are completely recycled/reclaimed (even the felt used is made out of post consumer plastic bottles), vegan, and ethically produced.

Amanda Adams (cuz it’s just me here) is a multi-disciplinary artist and podcaster based out of Baltimore, MD. She earned her BFA in Photography and Bookmaking from the Maryland Institute College of Art which is where she started Close Call Studio and has been exploring new ways of creating art ever since. She spends time caring for her ever-growing plant collection, being overly affectionate to her reluctant shop cat Brussels Sprout, and collecting books faster than she can read them. She is recognized primarily as "the peddler of plants that can’t be killed" but she is always looking for new ways to make her ideas come to life.

Close Call Studio is a fiber art and illustration brand started in 2012 that creates work designed to bring playfulness, joy, and humor to your home with a focus on compassion, sustainability, and ethical business practices. All materials are consciously curated and are entirely recycled/reclaimed (even the felt used is made out of post consumer plastic bottles), vegan, and fair trade or US made. In 2017 Close Call Studio started donating 10% of all sales to varying non-profits and charities working in environmental issues and sustainability, social justice, and animal welfare. So here’s to having a beautiful space decorated with kindness and compassion!
